Use these gold hoops to create a simple yet effective drop earrings, with enamelled flamingo charms and soft, flowing tassels.
The gold hoops are secured to the earring hanging loop at one end, leaving you to add the beads and tassels to the hoop before closing it securely.
Step One
Gently pull open the wire that isn't secured in the wire housing at the top of the hoop, then add on 10 x 8/0 seed beads, one of your tassels, followed by another 10 x 8/0 seed beads. Now gently push the wire back into the wire housing at the top. Use a pair of chain nose pliers to gently squeeze the housing around the hoop wire to hold it securely in place. If you prefer not to squeeze the housing, you can gently push the wire through the housing a liottle more, then turn up the end of the wire slightly so it won't pull back through. |
Step Two
Twist open a jumpring and thread on the Flaming charm, then thread this jumpring through the small hole in the earring hoop, located at the bottom of the wire housing. The side of the wire housing that holds the wire is the back of the hoop, so making sure the Flamingo is facing the correct way, twist close the jumpring. Your Flamingo and smooth front of the hoop should be facing the same way. |
Twist open the loop on your earwire and thread on your hoop, then close the earwire securely. Again, make sure your hoop and Flamingo are facing the correct way. |
Make the second pair in the same way and you're done! Have fun with your Flamingo and Tassel earrings! |
