| Mayuki Colour Inspiration Miyuki Beads Palette 2023 |
As part of our Mayuki celebrations each year, we pull together some gorgeous pictures to help inspire and define some bead colour palettes. You may find these helpful if you find you always use the same colour palette, if you're stuck picking colours for a new project, or want to try something new and exciting!
The images below were used in our Mayuki 2023 campaign. Each image was chosen as it represented a certain day in May, and the colours and composition creates a harmonious colour combination. We've carefully selected Miyuki Delica and/or Seed beads that represent the colours in each picture. Please feel free to use them in your bead choices, each colour selected has its Miyuki number included so it's easy to find!
Designers tip: Balancing your colour choices can be hard, so take inspiration from our images and see which colours are used the most. Pay close attention to the colour weighting and distribution in each image. For example, try to see the colours which take up the highest percentage in each image - these should be used as your main focal beads. Whereas bright pops of contrasting colours take up a much smaller percentage of the image and should be used as such in your palette - they create an eye-catching lift in the overall design.
